MEET THE INSPECTOR
HI, my name is RUDY SAPP
I graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering (BSME) from the New Jersey Institute of Technology in 1981. My first experience as an engineer was in the construction of a nuclear plant in New Orleans (Waterford 3) as part of the stress analysis group in charge of the start-up procedures. Later in my career, I was part of the construction management group in charge of building the Federal Reserve Bank of New York in East Rutherford New Jersey, as well as per the east coast head quarters for BASF at the International Trade Zone in Mount Olive, NJ and the construction of Saint Peter’s College dormitories to name a few. I also started my own construction company, working primarily in the reconstruction and remodeling of buildings and single families homes for the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
My experience as an engineer and contractor I offer to you as a licensed New York State home inspector (NYS LIC#16000013051). Prior to being licensed by NY State, I was certified by The American Home Inspectors Training Institute (AHIT). Also I’m certified by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) ID# C7849185 for termite & pest control inspections and by the National Radon Safety Board ID #NRSB5SS0014 to perform Radon testing. The State of New York Department of Health awarded us with the ELAP certification (EPAP ID# 11894) to performe 48Hrs Continuous Radon Monitoring testing. In addition, I’m a 203K consultant for HUD ID #P1384 to perform FHA/HUD inspections reports.
At present, I’m a member of the CNYASHI chapter and a candidate for the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI). This is why when I inspect a property, my knowledge, experience and my philosophy (inspecting houses as if they were for myself), will provide you with an unbiased in-depth report.
